Windfall Films - Feb & March 2008
I worked several large building moves for Windfall Films. The Murillo Building was moved down the street in Monster Moves Season 3, episode 5, "Historic Hulks". Also known as Impossible Moves on National Geographic US, Huge Moves on National Geographic International and Mega Moves on Discovery Channel & TLC.
Sedition - Art Show - September 11 & 12, 2009
Art show amongst Des Moines artists and friends including myself. I video taped all these artists projects.
Conversation with Richard Dawkins - April 12, 2014
I was asked to videotape the event at the Hoyt Sherman. I had two Panasonic HVX-2000A cameras and had my actor run the static two shot camera on the main floor. I ran the panning camera on the balcony. I also went to the house party and Dawkins was a bit of an ass to me. I was initially to be paid but wasn't. Not sure if I paid my camera guy. I did have Dawkins answer my question in his book.
Jesus 2012 - 2015
Christ Crucified is a 1632 painting by Diego Velázquez depicting the Crucifixion of Jesus. A billboard based on this painting was moved around Des Moines for at least three years. I photographed it in different weather, locations, and with scenes I created.
November 8, 1997 - U2 Pop Mart
A St. Louis radio station ran a "Pop Art for Pop Mart" contest for U2 tickets. I submitted several items in a see through poster holder. I won tickets and took my then girlfriend to the show. I threw away all of the art entries. I recreated two of the submissions at the bottom of the page. One was a drawing of Max Beckman's woodcut portrait. Maybe I thought they would think it was Bono. I also created a monkey to man thing from U2's own designers. Take a look at the videos of the show from Mexico. The opening is similar to a prize fighter entering the ring.
Neil DeGrasse Tyson Lecture - October 29, 2013
I attended this lecture and asked Tyson to answer questions that I created. I then combined that with a Dawkins exam.

November 11 2009 - Veterans History Project
The Veterans History Project at the Library of Congress collects, preserves and makes accessible the firsthand recollections of U.S. military veterans who served from World War I through more recent conflicts and peacekeeping missions, so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand what they saw, did and felt during their service. I video taped Frank Victory Exline who was a prisoner of the Japanese.
Finger this out
I like to look at my left hand for drawing practice.
Bush Jr Birthday - June 22, 2006
In summer 2006, Sheryl Oring staged a cross-country tour of "The Birthday Project." For this work, Oring wore a 1960s party dress and set up a portable "birthday party" in parks and flea markets. As people passed by, she invited them to send cards to the President for his 60th birthday. Using a manual typewriter, she typed their thoughts onto the card. With this project, Oring offered people across a broad spectrum of society a chance to extend very personal wishes to the President on this landmark birthday, thereby painting an intimate portrait of American views on the presidency halfway through his second term in office.
