Clearly Misunderstood - An Art Exhibition - Oct 7, 2011
Clearly Misunderstood was an Art show (Oct 7, 2011) at Ian Miller's "The Eye" in Des Moines, Iowa. I had two TV's playing in his shop windows that faced the public sidewalk. The premise is "What is Iowa became a state during the Iraqi war." It seems like the Mexican - American war was incorporated into Iowa county names. What would it look like if modern war was incorporated into county names? It must be noted I created this project as a Democrat and I am now a Republican. This is a great country.
I Love New York 2001-2002
I drove to NYC the day after the attack, had vehicle trouble in Ohio, and drove back to Iowa. I took a bus out Thursday and arrived in NYC on Friday 9/14 to take photographs. After a short stay, I returned and began sending 364 photo post cards to random New Yorkers expressing Iowa's support for them. I received over 45 emails, cards, and letters in return. All photos with the I love NY motif were setup by me.
Viking Pump video shoot - June 19 2010
I shoot raw video footage for ION TV at Viking Pump - Cedar Falls, Iowa, facilities. I interviewed employees. ION then edits and publishes the video on the internet. That video is no longer on the internet. I received a free small sample pump and threw it away. I am an idiot for throwing all my stuff way. Video was standard definition. I hired Ian Miller to help me.
Oh the Places You Will Go NOV - DEC 2017
I created a book for a friend and included photos of our time together.
Kunst Automatica
Germany has Art Vending machines in various cities. Here are the ones I found. I display the kunst box first to separate each section. The machine is shown, follwed by the art and then the artist bio included in the box and other images from the internet by the artist. Some cards have something on the back.
